ACCREDITATION

Wemos is recognised as a public benefit organisation (PBO, or ANBI) by the Dutch tax authorities. The ANBI-status guarantees, among other things, that we do not have the objective of financial gain, that at least 90% of our efforts are committed to the public benefit, and that we meet strict integrity requirements. Wemos has also been recognised by the Netherlands Fundraising Regulator (CBF), and certified as an equivalent to a Certified Public Charity by NGOsource (Equivalency Determination).

Our ANBI-status entails that donations from individual donors to our organisation are tax deductible under applicable conditions. You can find more information about donations to PBOs and tax rules on the website of the Dutch tax authorities (Belastingdienst). Our ANBI data are as follows:

CBF

The ‘Erkenning’ (or Recognition) is the Netherlands Fundraising Regulator’s (CBF) quality mark for charities. When a charity has been recognised by the CBF (CBF-Erkend Goed Doel), you can trust that the organisation has been closely reviewed and meets strict requirements.

Requirements differ between large and smaller organisations. No less than 4.4 billion euros worth of private donations is held under the supervision of the CBF. A CBF seal of approval guarantees that the organisation you are contributing to truly contributes to a better world, handles every euro with care, is accountable, and is independently audited.

Transparency at a glance

De ‘CBF-Erkenningspaspoort’ (CBF Recognition passport) shows the most important information of a CBF-approved organisation in a neutral and transparent way. It includes qualitative information about an organisation’s objectives and activities, as well as financial key figures. These figures have also been validated by CBF.
