CBF

The ‘Erkenning’ (or Recognition) is the Netherlands Fundraising Regulator’s (CBF) quality mark for charities. When a charity has been recognized by the CBF (CBF-Erkend Goed Doel), you can trust that the organisation has been closely reviewed and meets strict requirements.

Requirements differ between large and smaller organisations. Approximately 80 percent of private donations is held under the supervision of CBF. A CBF seal of approval guarantees that the organisation you’re contributing to truly contributes to a better world, handles every euro with care, is accountable, and is independently audited.

Transparency at a glance

De ‘CBF-Erkenningspaspoort’ (CBF Recognition passport) shows the most important information of a CBF-approved organisation in a neutral and transparent way. It includes qualitative information about an organisation’s objectives and activities, as well as financial key figures. These figures have also been validated by CBF.
