Have a look at our Year Overview 2020!

Our new Year Overview 2020 is out. It showcases the highlights of our work of the past year. Come and have a look!

The Covid-19 pandemic left a historic mark on the world in 2020 and 2021. It exposed worldwide inequities in access to vaccines and medicines and showed the dire gaps that exist in health financing and in the number of trained and employed health workers. All around the world, people started talking about the importance of strong health systems. Furthermore, we saw how the (indirect) effects of the pandemic and the measures to control it worldwide had a detrimental impact on access to sexual and reproductive health and rights.

The pandemic affected all the goals we strive for: equal access to medicines, sufficient and the right investments in health, and an adequate number of qualified and motivated health workers. Despite the initial challenges of working remotely, we quickly adapted to the situation and managed to seize many advocacy opportunities.

Our Year Overview showcases the highlights of our work: successful advocacy actions to influence policy, collaborations with partners, compelling knowledge products, media appearances, and exciting new funding opportunities. In the PDF version of our overview, you can also read our Annual Financial Report 2020.

In 2021, we remain determined to advocate health for all. But for now, we take a moment to look back on 2020.

We hope you enjoy the overview. Happy reading!

New coalition agreement: this is what a Dutch Global Health Strategy should look like

As the Dutch Global Health Alliance, we have a clear position on the topic. Earlier this month, we shared our views in a policy brief that we submitted to the Advisory Council on International Affairs (AIV).
