Recording virtual event ‘Taking stock of C-TAP’

On 18 May 2022, the Covid-19 Innovations for All (CIFA) consortium organised a World Health Assembly virtual side event on the lessons learnt from the Covid-19 Technology Access Pool (C-TAP). The recording of the event is now available.

The World Health Organization (WHO) launched C-TAP two years ago to enable developers of medical products against Covid-19 to share their intellectual property and know-how with other manufacturers in order to maximize production capacity and thus enhance global access. What has become of this ambition? And what is needed to unleash the potential of C-TAP, also for future pandemic preparedness and response?

At the event, diverse experts shared their experiences, insights and recommendations regarding C-TAP and/or a future technology sharing mechanism as part of global pandemic preparedness and response.
