How can governments and multilateral organisations ensure that everyone in the world gets access to essential medical products during pandemics as rapidly as possible? Wemos has defined 5 key dimensions that offer guidance to policymakers in achieving an equitable and effective pandemic response: 1) sufficiency, 2) urgency, 3) sustainability, 4) power balance, and 5) people first. Policymakers should set up, assess and promote initiatives for access to medical products on the basis of these dimensions.
